We caught up with Benjamin Winter, our eventing rider to see where he’s been competing recently…
“I’ve just got back from Boekelo, which was a very good show for my young horses and me. With ISPO, my youngest newcomer, I got – 51,40 points in dressag
e and we could hold it to the final result. PLACE 8 from 117 starters in the CCI 3 star, which I’m proud of.”
“REVENUE was also great in dressage,- 45.00, and also in cross country, but in the Final showjumping she got 5 mistakes and fell back to 44. I think she was a little bit tired from the deep ground the day before”.
Boekelo was Benjamin’s last event this season. “My horses are now going to have a well deserved holiday until Christmas, while I go off to do 6 weeks military service” Benjamin tells us.
“With Woolpit, Revenue and Ispo I have 3 good horses for the 3 stars tour. Wild Thing is also doing his best to get back to championships…Also I am happy that I’ve got with three horses the qualifications for the 4 star level.”
Our dressage rider, Ellen Birgitte has also been busy. “I did a show this weekend with Bel Air, Tahennya and Aragorn at Aastrup, Denmark. Tahennya won her debut in M scoring 66%, Aragorn was 4 in the same class scoring 64%. Bel Air did his first show ever, he was placed 6 in an L class scoring 65%. It’s really exciting bringing new horses in. You never know quite how they’ll react, but I was delighted with Bel Air’s and the rest of my horses’ performances.”
Her next show will be The Bundgaard Byg Cup Finals 16-18.11.12.
Mike Patrick Leichle
We caught up with Mike who is at CSI*** Leszno with Sixtus (the 7 years old) who did amazing again: Placed and clear in all classes. (2nd,2nd,3rd in the youngster classes). Cassano, a new horse from Norway, did also really well in his first 1.40 and 1.45m classes. He got
two rails in each class but it was a fantastic result due to his lack of experience. Canturado – good as always;)- clear and 1 rail in the Worldranking Classes. One more week Leszno, then Mike is heading for a clinic in Bergen to teach Norwegian students.
